Breed reptiles in captivity: Snakes – Colubrids
A study in 2010 in Missouri, USA (Penning & Cairns 2012) reported that red cornsnakes Pantherophis guttatus bred successfully in captivity. Two females produced at least 18 hatchlings. All captive offspring came from a single male and two female snakes. Eggs were moved to an incubator where the temperature was 28°C and the humidity was ≤80%.
